The Cursed Cam monitor: a grid of night-vision security cameras showing rooms with something wrong in them

You upload photos of your own rooms, garden or venue. Cursed Cam turns them into a security monitor where something is very wrong, and it plays on any TV all night.

I built it for Halloween parties, and it works for venues too. The site, the live demo, the checkout and the pipeline that makes the clips are all mine.

How it works

  • Upload 4, 9 or 16 photos. JPG, PNG or HEIC, so phone photos are fine.
  • Every camera gets three clips: a quiet one, people passing, and something wrong.
  • The monitor mixes them through the night, so you never know which camera to watch.
  • It's ready in about an hour and you pay once.

The quiet clips

Most of what plays is nothing. A light hums, a room sits there. That's on purpose, because it's what makes the rest work.

How it's built

Claude Opus surveys the photos, writes the storyboards and has the final say when a clip fails. Claude Sonnet does the quick first-pass checks. Both run through the Vercel AI Gateway.

Analytics only count anonymously until a visitor says yes, and customers' photos are kept out of session replay.
